Overview
Looking for Procurement Officer who will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
The role also supports the finance department by maintaining accurate cost records, verifying invoices, and ensuring alignment between procurement and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities Procurement Duties
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for materials (MDF, acrylic, aluminum, printing materials, etc.)
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare purchase orders (POs)
- Maintain and update supplier database and price lists
- Ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project timelines
- Coordinate with production, design, and project teams for material requirements
- Monitor stock levels and reorder materials when needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE procurement standards
Accounting & Financial Support
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Coordinate with accounting for payment processing and supplier reconciliation
- Track project costs and ensure they are within budget
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions
- Assist in monthly cost reports and financial analysis
- Support VAT compliance and documentation related to purchases
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2–4 years experience in procurement (preferably in advertising, events, or construction/fit-out industry in UAE)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (AP, cost control, reconciliation)
- Experience with ERP systems (preferred)
Skills Required
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Good knowledge of local UAE market suppliers
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Excel skills (tracking, cost sheets, reports)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills (English required, Arabic is a plus)
- Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
