Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Procurement Officer

with experience supporting procurement operations within a reputable organization or medium to large-scale business environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing purchasing activities, coordinating with suppliers, processing procurement requests, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Job Purpose

Support the procurement function by managing day-to-day purchasing activities, sourcing suppliers, processing purchase requests, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple procurement requests while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Source suppliers and obtain quotations for goods and services.
  • Compare supplier quotations and prepare commercial evaluations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor purchase orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
  • Support contract administration and ensure procurement documentation is complete and properly maintained.
  • Assist in supplier performance monitoring and vendor evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and approval authorities.
  • Resolve routine procurement issues and supplier inquiries.
  • Prepare procurement reports, purchasing status updates, and spend analysis as required.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives through effective sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Coordinate with Finance regarding invoices, payments, and purchase order reconciliation.
  • Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for procurement transactions and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • **3–5 years**
  • of procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Experience within reputable organizations, multinational companies, or medium to large-scale businesses is preferred.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes, purchasing procedures, and supplier management.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as

Cips Level 3 And 4

or equivalent are considered an advantage.
