Overview
- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials (copper, PVC/XLPE, terminals, etc.)
- Ensure timely sourcing to support uninterrupted production
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms
- Develop and maintain multiple vendors for critical materials
- Monitor inventory levels and implement Min-Max / reorder systems
- Reduce slow-moving and dead stock, ensure FIFO/FEFO practices
- Coordinate with production and planning teams to avoid material shortages
- Track material price trends and control procurement costs
- Ensure on-time delivery and optimize logistics (local vs import)
- Evaluate supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery)
- Ensure compliance with IEC / SASO / UL and client specifications (Aramco/SEC if applicable)
- Maintain procurement data and generate reports using ERP systems
- Identify risks (price fluctuation, shortages) and develop backup plans
