Overview
We are seeking an experienced **Procurement Officer with glass industry experience** to manage sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination for glass materials and related construction components.
The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, delivery timelines, and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure glass materials, aluminum systems, and related fit-out materials
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with project requirements
- Compare quotations and ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams for material requirements
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and material quality
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Follow up on deliveries and resolve supply issues or delays
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project budgets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved vendors
- Conduct market research for pricing trends and new suppliers
Requirements
- Minimum **4 years of experience in procurement**, specifically in **glass / aluminum / façade / construction industry**
- Strong knowledge of glass types, specifications, and suppliers in UAE market
- Experience in handling project-based procurement for construction/fit-out projects
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems (ERP preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred
