Procurement Manager role supporting Project Letchmore Heath Power Station, a major power and infrastructure project.
Responsible for procurement of subcontract packages, materials, plant and services needed for project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage procurement strategy and schedules with Project, Commercial, Engineering and Construction teams.
- Manage enquiries, tendering, bid analysis, supplier and subcontractor selection, and negotiation of commercial and contractual terms.
- Place and manage purchase orders and subcontract packages; identify long-lead items and align procurement with programme dates.
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships and monitor performance, lead times and delivery commitments.
- Work with Commercial to achieve best value while maintaining quality and programme requirements.
- Identify procurement risks and opportunities, implement mitigation and ensure compliance with procedures, project requirements and contracts.
Requirements
- Strong procurement experience in construction, power, energy, utilities, infrastructure or a similar major-project environment.
- Proven Procurement Manager or senior procurement experience, including procurement of subcontract packages, materials, plant and specialist services.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness, negotiation and supplier-management skills.
- Experience in project-based construction or engineering and ability to manage multiple packages and competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive focus on programme, cost, quality and delivery.
