Procurement Manager From FM Background

Job purpose

Sourcing and supplier management

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with operational requirements and business objectives; manage end-to-end procurement across FM services.
• Source spare parts, tools, equipment, cleaning materials, PPE, chemicals, and other consumables; maintain an approved vendor database.
• Build supplier, manufacturer, distributor, and subcontractor relationships; evaluate pricing, quality, delivery, reliability, and compliance.
• Conduct supplier assessments, performance reviews, and market evaluations; negotiate commercial terms and resolve supplier issues.

Cost and operational support

• Develop budgets, identify savings through bulk purchasing and agreements, monitor expenditure, and evaluate quotations for value.
• Prepare cost comparison statements and procurement performance reports.
• Coordinate with FM operations, site engineers, facilities managers, and project teams to identify requirements and ensure timely supply.
• Manage procurement for preventive and reactive maintenance and support new contract mobilization.
• Ensure purchases meet client specifications, technical requirements, and contractual obligations.

Contracts, compliance, and inventory

• Review purchase requests, quotations, purchase orders, contracts, and service agreements; comply with company policies, approval matrices, and UAE regulations.
• Verify technical specifications and quality; coordinate with finance and legal teams on terms, payments, and supplier documentation.
• Maintain procurement records for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams on stock levels, movement, reorder points, slow-moving and obsolete items, and inventory controls.
• Track orders and deliveries and plan for critical materials and supply-chain disruptions.

Team management and reporting

• Lead and develop the procurement team, establish KPIs, and monitor team and departmental performance.
• Prepare monthly reports on expenditure, savings, supplier performance, and pending orders.
• Improve workflows and implement standard operating procedures; collaborate across operations, finance, commercial, warehouse, and project teams.

Pay

• AED 8,000–10,000 per month.

• Ability to lead and manage procurement for facility management operations.
• Ability to source materials, equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Ability to manage suppliers, evaluate performance, negotiate commercial terms, and resolve supplier issues.
• Ability to develop budgets, control expenditure, evaluate quotations, and identify cost savings.
• Ability to coordinate procurement with FM operations, site engineers, facilities managers, project teams, finance, legal, warehouse, and commercial teams.
• Knowledge of company procurement policies, approval matrices, applicable UAE regulations, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Ability to maintain inventory controls, reorder levels, purchase order tracking, and supply disruption contingency plans.
• Ability to lead and develop a procurement team, establish KPIs, and improve workflows.
