- The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for data centre projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- The role requires strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure and effective vendor management.
- Manage procurement activities for data centre projects including electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure.
- Prepare RFQs, review technical specifications, and coordinate with engineering and project teams.
- Evaluate vendor quotations (technical & commercial) and recommend suitable suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) in line with project timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers to track order status, delivery, and resolve any delays.
- Maintain the approved vendor list and develop new vendors for specialized data centre equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project requirements.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure materials meet required standards.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks for critical equipment.
- Handle documentation, contracts, and procurement reports.
