Overview
The Project Manager – MEP is responsible for overall planning, execution, coordination, and successful delivery of MEP works within construction projects.
The role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of MEP works as per project schedule
- Develop detailed project execution plans, resource plans, and look-ahead schedules
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other disciplines for seamless integration

- Site Management
- Oversee site activities for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and low current systems
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements
- Monitor daily progress and resolve site-level technical issues
.3. Team & Subcontractor Management
- Manage site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors
- Allocate tasks and ensure productivity and performance targets are met
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with project teams
.4. Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor project budgets and control MEP-related costs
- Review material procurement and ensure cost-effective execution
- Approve work progress for billing and subcontractor payments
.5. Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all works comply with QA/QC standards and project specifications
- Enforce HSE policies and ensure safe working practices on site
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities
.6. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and main contractors
- Attend project meetings and provide progress updates and reports
- Resolve design and technical coordination issues
.7. Testing & Commissioning
- Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of all MEP systems
- Ensure timely handover of systems with complete documentation and as-built drawings
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Project management and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of construction codes and authority regulations
