Position
Procurement Engineer in the construction industry, based in the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement for construction projects and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Source suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors; request, review, and compare quotations.
- Prepare purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
- Coordinate material needs with project, estimation, engineering, and site teams.
- Check materials against project specifications and quality standards; monitor availability, stock, and deliveries.
- Maintain procurement records and supplier databases, and resolve pending-order issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least two years of UAE construction procurement experience.
- Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, UAE market rates, building and MEP materials, purchase orders, and material submittals.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office; strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate
- UAE construction company experience and knowledge of local suppliers and material markets are preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines is preferred.
Pay
- AED 5,000–8,000 per month.
