Planning Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor detailed schedules, baseline programmes, and recovery plans for multiple construction projects.
• Coordinate project plans to support timely completion within approved budgets and deadlines.
• Prepare progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms, and performance dashboards.
• Monitor milestones and baseline progress, identify delays and critical activities, and recommend corrective action.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, management, and engineering, procurement, production, and site teams.
• Prepare resource-loaded schedules, manpower plans, equipment allocations, and material procurement schedules.
• Prepare delay analyses, Extension of Time documentation, and recovery schedules.
• Coordinate planning across construction, manufacturing, marble production, and installation work.
• Attend progress meetings and provide updates to senior management.

Qualifications and requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) is mandatory.
• At least five years of relevant UAE construction project planning experience is mandatory.
• Experience planning and monitoring multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices, project execution procedures, and consultant requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Knowledge of scheduling, critical path analysis, resource planning, and delay analysis.
• Building construction, infrastructure, finishing works, or marble-related project experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills; able to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 5,000–8,000 per month.

• Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
