Lead procurement strategy and execution for major, complex projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate has approximately 25 years of experience and significant exposure to mega projects; a PMC background is preferred.
Candidate requirements
- 25+ years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or major capital projects.
- Western education from a recognized university or institution.
- Proven record managing procurement for mega projects in the GCC.
- Strong PMC experience is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience developing and implementing procurement strategies for large, complex projects.
- Strong understanding of contracts, tendering, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and supply-chain management.
- Ability to lead large, multicultural procurement teams and work with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of GCC procurement practices, market conditions, and major international suppliers and contractors.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience on high-value, fast-paced projects with demanding delivery schedules.
