Job Purpose
To support process engineering design activities for
upstream, midstream, and downstream Oil & Gas projects
, contributing to
FEED and Detailed Engineering
phases while ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications (e.g., QatarEnergy).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and development of core
- process engineering deliverables
- :
• Heat & Material Balance (HMB)
- Perform basic to intermediate
- process calculations
- , including:
- Line sizing and hydraulic calculations
- Pump/compressor calculations
- PSV/relief valve sizing (under guidance)
- Flare load estimation (basic level)
- Support design of
Oil & Gas facilities
- , such as:
- Separation systems (2-phase / 3-phase separators)
- Gas processing units
- Produced water treatment systems
- Utility systems (fuel gas, nitrogen, air, water systems)
- Prepare and review:
- Equipment and instrument datasheets
- Process descriptions and control philosophies
- Cause & Effect diagrams
- Participate in
- process safety studies
- :
- HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments
- Incorporate safety and operability recommendations
- Interface with
- multidiscipline teams
(Piping, Mechanical, E&I, Civil)
- Assist in
- vendor document review
- , technical bid evaluations, and follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with:
- International codes & standards (API, ASME, ISO, IEC)
- Client standards (QatarEnergy, Shell DEP, ADNOC if applicable)
- Provide support for:
- Site queries (TQ/RFI)
- Commissioning and start-up documentation (as required)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in
Chemical Engineering
- 0–4 years of experience in
- Oil & Gas / EPC / Engineering consultancy projects
- Exposure to
FEED / Detailed Engineering deliverables
preferred
