Principal Project Controls Engineer

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls strategies, procedures, governance frameworks and reporting systems across major projects and programmes.
• Maintain integrated systems covering schedule, cost, risk, change and performance management.
• Develop and assure integrated master schedules using Primavera P6.
• Establish WBS, Control Accounts, coding structures, progress measurement systems and baseline programmes.
• Facilitate schedule workshops and conduct assurance reviews, programme audits and quality assessments.
• Support continuous improvement, digital ways of working, knowledge sharing and lessons learned.

Essential Requirements

• Extensive project controls, planning and scheduling experience on large infrastructure or multidisciplinary programmes.
• Proven ability to lead project controls functions across complex projects and programmes.
• Strong Primavera P6 and integrated schedule development expertise.
• Experience with project controls frameworks, governance, performance reporting, EVM, cost and schedule integration.
• Experience in programme assurance, schedule audits, quality reviews, risk management, change control and forecasting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with project teams, clients and senior leadership.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience on infrastructure, transport, aviation, rail or urban development projects in Saudi Arabia or the wider region.
• Forensic programme analysis and independent project performance assessment experience.
• Experience developing and mentoring project controls and planning professionals.
• Knowledge of recognised project controls standards and experience delivering executive-level reporting.
