Role Overview
Principal Consultant is a leadership role in the bespoke consulting practice.
The role develops and leads consulting research across multiple energy, feedstock, chemical, and materials business lines.
The position is based at the Dubai office and works regularly with the global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own project execution and ensure timely delivery from the Dubai office.
- Manage project teams across regions and use internal and external subject matter experts for analysis.
- Support directors and senior management with project implementation.
- Guide and mentor analysts and consulting team members through project completion.
- Manage client relationships, present study findings, and contribute to business development and proposal writing.
- Contribute to resource planning, performance appraisal, recruitment, and consulting team discussions.
- Travel on an ad hoc basis.
Qualifications and Experience
- A B.Sc., B.Eng., or B.Tech. degree in chemical engineering or chemistry is required.
- At least 7 years of commercial or techno-economic experience in energy, refining, petrochemicals, or market consultancy is required.
- A proven record of leading consulting or similar projects is required.
- A postgraduate degree in science or business management is advantageous.
Skills
- Strong analytical and project management skills are required.
- Technical knowledge and industry insight are needed to guide the team and lead client discussions.
- Excellent English communication skills are required; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required.
