Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own Dubai-based projects and ensure timely delivery; manage project teams, including members from other regions.
• Use internal and external subject matter experts to provide in-depth analysis and support project implementation with consulting directors and senior management.
• Guide and mentor analysts and consultants through project tasks.
• Engage clients and present study findings.
• Contribute to business development and proposal writing.
• Participate in resource planning, performance appraisal, and recruiting.
• Contribute industry expertise to consulting discussions and travel on an ad hoc basis.
• Projects may cover energy, feedstocks, olefins, plastics, aromatics, inorganics, syngas, and other materials.

Qualifications and experience

• Requires a B.Sc., B.Eng., or B.Tech. degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.
• Requires at least 7 years in a commercial or techno-economic role in energy, refining, or petrochemicals, or in energy/petrochemical market consultancy.
• Requires a proven record of leading consulting or similar projects and in-depth knowledge of energy and petrochemical business, industry structure, production technologies, markets, and pricing.
• Requires strong analytical and project management skills and the technical and industry knowledge to guide teams and lead client discussions.
• Requires excellent English communication skills and proficiency in MS Office; additional languages are a plus.
• A postgraduate degree in science or business management is advantageous.

Workplace

• The position is based at the Dubai office and requires regular collaboration with the global team.
• Ad hoc travel is required.
