Position Summary

The Principal Business Process Analyst owns workflow redesign methods and execution across Talent and Workforce Transformation initiatives.

The role produces actionable workflow blueprints to guide technology and role decisions, and moves across priority initiatives as programs launch.

Workflow Analysis and Redesign

  • Analyze talent processes end to end, identifying work requiring human judgment and work that is administrative, redundant, redesignable, or automatable.
  • Facilitate current-state mapping and future-state design with business leaders, hiring managers, recruiters, HR partners, and subject matter experts.
  • Specify work sequence, decision rights, automation touchpoints, and human involvement in workflow blueprints.
  • Ensure process redesign precedes technology decisions and challenge proposals to automate a process before redesigning it.

Design Leadership

  • Translate workflow blueprints into specifications for product, IT, and vendor teams.
  • Develop and refine a workflow redesign method that can be reused across programs.

AI Agent Requirements and Design

  • Identify workflow steps where AI agents or automation can replace, accelerate, or improve work; specify agent actions, supported decisions, data needs, and human oversight.
  • Provide actionable briefs to the Insights and AI Automation Lead, and partner during build and testing to resolve deviations from design intent.
  • Design connections between agent outputs and adjacent steps, escalation triggers, and behavior when automation fails or produces unexpected results.

System and Platform Alignment

  • Work with product and IT partners to ensure workflow designs fit existing technology, including Oracle HCM, and account for platform capabilities and constraints.
  • Redesign Oracle-enabled approvals, self-service, data handoffs, and manager actions; surface limitations requiring workarounds or technology roadmap escalation.
  • Include colleague and manager experience in workflow design, alongside process efficiency.
