Role overview
The experienced Preparator supports structural repair and fabrication activities, including identifying repair scopes, preparing drawings, extracting fabrication details, and preparing welding documentation.

Key responsibilities
- Identify structural repair scopes with the Owner’s Representative.
- Prepare mark-up and detailed production drawings for repair and fabrication work.
- Extract fabrication details, dimensions, and relevant information from engineering drawings.
- Prepare welding traceability documentation and welding maps for structural works and modules.
- Nest material for cut parts to support fabrication and optimize material use.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and fabrication teams to meet project requirements.
- Update drawings and fabrication details based on approved revisions and site requirements.
Requirements and preferences
- At least 5 years of relevant structural preparation, repair, and fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Tekla and ProCAM.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and prepare mark-up and production drawings.
- Experience with welding traceability, welding maps, and material nesting.
- Oil and gas, marine, or shipyard industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to coordinate with the Owner’s Representative and production team.
- Immediate availability and interest in a 3-month project are preferred.
