  • Manage and verify CoG calculations for offshore topsides, jackets, modules, and associated facilities.
  • Assess weight and CoG impacts of engineering changes, design modifications, and vendor updates.
  • Coordinate weight inputs and reporting across process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and telecom disciplines.
  • Review and approve EPC contractor and vendor weight-control methods, calculations, and deliverables.
  • Audit contractor weight-control systems for project compliance.

  • Participate in 3D model, design, constructability, and technical assurance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of instrumentation and control engineering experience in oil and gas.
  • ADNOC offshore or similar Middle East offshore project experience is highly preferred.
  • Detailed-design experience for offshore facilities, including topsides, jackets, modules, platforms, and brownfield modifications.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, control, safety instrumented, fire and gas systems, and industrial communication networks.
  • Proficiency with SPI, AVEVA Instrumentation, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and related design/document systems.
  • Understanding of ISA, IEC, API, NFPA, and relevant ADNOC standards.
  • Experience with instrument sizing, control valve selection, shutdown systems, hazardous-area requirements, and installation practices.
  • Familiarity with SIL assessment, functional safety, HAZOP, LOPA, and cause-and-effect development.
  • Strong multidisciplinary coordination; able to work in a fast-paced EPC/EPCM/PMC project environment.
  • Good communication, technical reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Central engineering or shared services experience is an advantage.

Benefits and development

  • The company describes a competitive remuneration package with regular market-aligned reviews.
  • Benefits include medical, life and personal accident insurance, end-of-service gratuity, an employee share plan, and long-service awards.
