Role purpose

Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, testing, and repair at interior project sites.

Work to approved drawings, project requirements, safety standards, and quality specifications.

The role is within projects/site operations for interior fit-out and retail projects and reports to a site engineer, project engineer, or site supervisor.

Installation and site execution

  • Install water supply, drainage, and wastewater piping systems, CP and sanitary fittings, valves, traps, and fixtures.
  • Cut, thread, join, fit, and install pipes through walls, floors, ceilings, and service areas.
  • Connect wash basins, sinks, toilets, urinals, and other fixtures; complete concealed and exposed plumbing work.
  • Study drawings and instructions, mark plumbing points and routes, and coordinate with civil, electrical, carpentry, ceiling, and other site teams.
  • Maintain pipe alignment, slope, and positioning, meet project schedules, and report site plumbing requirements and problems.

Testing, repair, and maintenance

  • Pressure-test water supply lines and check drainage flow and leakage.
  • Identify and rectify leaks, blockages, joint problems, and plumbing defects; ensure proper sealing and finishing.
  • Attend breakdowns and site complaints; repair pipes, taps, valves, fittings, and drainage connections.
  • Clear wastewater and drainage blockages, replace damaged components when required, and support maintenance through completion and handover.

Materials and tools

  • Use pipes, fittings, valves, sealants, adhesives, fixtures, tools, and equipment correctly and safely.
  • Check materials before installation and report shortages or damage.
  • Avoid unnecessary material wastage and care for company and site tools and equipment.

Pay and benefit

  • Pay is ₹25,000–₹32,000 per month.
  • Provident Fund is listed as a benefit.

Work location

  • Work is in person at project or interior sites.
