Duties & Responsibilities of a Play Attendant
1. Child Supervision & Safety
- Monitor children at all times to ensure a safe play environment
- Enforce safety rules and guidelines
- Respond quickly to accidents or incidents and provide basic first aid if needed
2. Customer Service
- Greet children and parents in a friendly manner
- Explain play area rules, pricing, and procedures
- Address customer questions or concerns professionally
3. Activity Support
- Organize and lead games or activities for children
- Encourage participation and ensure all children are included
- Assist younger children when needed
4. Cleanliness & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of play areas, toys, and equipment
- Follow hygiene and sanitation standards
- Ensure toys and surfaces are regularly cleaned and safe for use
5. Equipment Monitoring
- Inspect play equipment for safety and proper use
- Report any damaged or unsafe equipment immediately
- Ensure children use equipment correctly
6. Admission & Basic Operations
- Check-in/check-out children and manage entry procedures
- Handle basic transactions or ticketing if required
- Monitor time limits for play sessions
7. Teamwork
- Work closely with other staff to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate any issues or incidents to supervisors
- Assist during busy periods or special events
8. Emergency Handling
- Follow emergency procedures when necessary
- Report accidents or incidents accurately
- Stay calm and act quickly in urgent situations
