Data Platform Engineer supporting hands-on installation, configuration, administration, and support of on-premises data platform components.

Work arrangement

Required qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Data Platform Engineering, infrastructure, or platform administration.
- Hands-on on-premises platform installation and configuration, platform administration, and VMware experience.
- Experience integrating platforms with Git and enterprise IAM and PAM solutions.
- Knowledge of deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting development, QA, and production environments; understanding of infrastructure, networking, storage, backup/recovery, and security.
Additional and preferred skills
- Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Experience with MinIO, Apache Iceberg, Starburst or Dremio, Apache Spark, or Informatica is good to have.
- Understanding of modern Data Lake and Data Lakehouse architectures is good to have.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, deploy, maintain, administer, monitor, and upgrade on-premises data platform components.
- Support VMware-based infrastructure and Git-based deployment and configuration integration.
- Integrate platforms with IAM and PAM and support development, QA, and production operations.
- Monitor platform health, availability, performance, capacity, and resource utilization; troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues.
- Support containerized components where applicable and collaborate with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Network, and Application teams.
