• We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to contribute to our core backend systems, from the event store to the underlying transactional infrastructure that other members of the Engineering team work on.

• **What you’ll be doing*** Building and scaling our core systems
• Writing high-throughput, concurrent code at production scale
• Working on problems that affect multiple teams across Engineering
• Reviewing code and helping other engineers with system design
• **What you'll need*** 7+ years of backend engineering experience
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field
• Production fluency in Java, or expertise in another backend language (Kotlin, Scala, Python, Go etc) and a readiness to work primarily in Java
• A track record of building core systems or foundational platforms that other engineers built on top of
• Distributed systems experience at a meaningful scale
• The ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Fluency in English
• **Nice to have*** A background in fintech or other high-volume transactional environment
• Experience in a startup or scale-up
• Event sourcing in production
• Open-source contributions to frameworks, libraries, or developer tooling
• **Compensation range*** Krakow: PLN41,500 - PLN53,900 gross monthly*
• Poland: PLN41,500 - PLN53,900 gross monthly*
• Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
• Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
