Role Overview

Senior Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate production systems to ensure high availability and reliability
• Improve observability through better metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
• Automate manual and repetitive operations tasks to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design resilient, scalable systems
• Improve developer experience by building custom tools and automating infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotations and handle incident response
• Conduct post-incident reviews and drive system improvements
• Benchmark, test, and optimize system performance and scalability
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure processes

Requirements

• Strong experience with AWS (or other major cloud providers such as GCP or Azure)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
• Solid Linux systems knowledge
• Programming skills in Golang, Python, Bash, or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools: ArgoCD, Crossplane, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and tools such as Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or HashiCorp Consul
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, Datadog)
• Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS, and security
• Nice to Have
