Leads planning for construction projects, combining strategic oversight with hands-on project management.
Guides a team of planning professionals and contributes to planning across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans covering scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Monitor progress with project teams, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Create schedules and dashboards using project management software.
- Communicate status to stakeholders and facilitate collaborative problem-solving.
- Analyze project data and optimize resource use, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Mentor junior planning staff and promote continuous improvement.
- Report project achievements, challenges, and recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop contingency plans for unforeseen challenges.
Skills
- Project management software proficiency, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
