Leads and manages planning and scheduling across industrial facilities and construction projects.
Monitors project timelines, resources, and progress against organizational objectives.
Supports project delivery through baseline schedules, progress reporting, delay analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
- Establish baseline programs, milestones, and critical path activities.
- Coordinate activity sequencing and resource allocation with project teams.
- Track progress and prepare weekly and monthly management reports.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and constraints; propose mitigation and recovery plans.
- Conduct delay analysis and support claims or extension-of-time documentation when required.
- Align procurement schedules, construction execution, and manpower planning.
- Lead planning meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Integrate planning data with project budgets and forecasts to support cost control.
- Ensure compliance with project control policies and industry best practices.
- Maintain planning documents, dashboards, and project performance indicators.
Functional skills
- Project planning and scheduling expertise.
- Primavera P6 and/or MS Project proficiency.
- Progress monitoring and reporting.
- Critical path method analysis.
- Delay analysis and recovery scheduling.
- Coordination and stakeholder management.
Experience and sectors
- Requires 8–12 years of relevant project planning and controls experience.
- Relevant sectors include industrial, construction, and manufacturing.
- Examples include aluminium, steel, marble, joinery, PODS, readymix, GRC, modular and duct, fitout, and precast factories.
