Planning Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production plans and schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Monitor production progress and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
• Optimize inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.
• Support customer order execution and respond to unplanned production requirements.
• Improve production planning processes and promote best practices in SAP systems.
• Maintain accurate planning records and production documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in production planning within the switchgear manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management principles.
• Experience working with SAP and other production planning systems.
• Required Skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively with production, procurement, engineering, and quality teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
