Role Description
We are seeking an experienced
Planning Engineer
to join our team in
Makkah
.
The role is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, coordinating handover and close-out activities, supporting commissioning-related planning, and ensuring proper progress reporting across multiple disciplines.
The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking milestones, monitoring risks, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting efficient project delivery through structured planning and reporting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules and detailed planning trackers
- Monitor progress against baseline plans and highlight critical delays or risks
- Coordinate handover, walkdown, punch list, and close-out activities
- Support commissioning-related planning and documentation follow-up
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Track documentation status including as-built drawings, manuals, and related records
- Support operational readiness and training coordination where required
- Maintain schedule updates using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
- Support data tracking within CMMS or asset-related systems when applicable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum
- 10–15 years
- of relevant experience
- At least
- 5 years
- in a
Planning Engineer / Senior Planner
- role
- Strong experience in planning, scheduling, handover, commissioning support, and close-out
- Advanced knowledge of
Primavera P6
and
MS Project
- **Good reporting, coordination, and stakeholder management skills**
- **Experience in complex multi-discipline environments is preferred**
- **Exposure to CMMS / asset systems such as SAP PM**
