Overview
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling engineering schedules and resource plans across large‑scale, multi‑billion riyal construction projects, ensuring alignment between engineering deliverables and overall project timelines while supporting efficiency, visibility, and proactive risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Support resource planning to ensure the right coverage at the right time (e.g., manpower demand forecasting across phases).
- Develop and maintain engineering schedules and deliverable plans aligned with project milestones.
- Monitor schedule performance, analyze variances, and flag risks early with proposed corrective actions.
- Coordinate planning inputs across disciplines and stakeholders to keep deliverables integrated and on track.
- Provide clear planning insights and updates through structured reporting to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Architecture/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in planning/scheduling (engineering/project environment).
- Strong understanding of engineering workflows, deliverables, and project lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Preferred certifications: PMP / RMP / PMI-SP.
