Placement student role supporting quality improvement in Cummins' Corporate/CBS business segment, specializing in logistics in Daventry, UK.

Responsibilities
- Support the QMS through data collection, reporting, and documentation updates.
- Assist with process reviews, audits, and root cause analyses for non-conformances or issues.
- Analyze quality and performance data, including defect rates, rework, and complaints, to identify trends.
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence improvement projects.
- Prepare management-review and project presentations and reports; collaborate cross-functionally to implement improvements.
- Help maintain and improve ISO 9001 standards and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Qualify for a placement year and be working towards a degree in engineering, quality, business, data analysis, supply chain/logistics, planning, statistics, or a related field.
- Have proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar.
- Have communication, presentation, project management, report-writing, and documentation skills.
- Develop problem-solving and critical-thinking ability and awareness of industry compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Show a continuous improvement and professional growth mindset.
