Placement-year Demand Analyst role in Cummins' UK Demand Team, specializing in Marketing.
The placement is scheduled to commence in Summer 2027 and is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year.
Responsibilities
- Support preparation and distribution of forecast-accuracy KPIs and demand-planning reports.
- Prepare reports and presentation materials for monthly demand-planning and consensus-review meetings.
- Maintain forecast data in demand-planning systems, including forecast updates and data entry.
- Publish weekly and monthly reports tracking forecast and demand changes while supporting data accuracy and integrity.
- Update customer, market, and product information in planning systems.
- Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and analysis to support business decisions.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting, planning processes, and data management.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support to the demand-planning team.
Candidate requirements
- Be working toward a relevant degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or Marketing, ideally focused on Finance or Data Analysis.
- Have an interest in data analysis, reporting, forecasting, and demand planning, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI, and an interest in business intelligence and data visualization.
- Be able to analyze information, validate and reconcile data, identify issues, and support solutions.
- Have strong organizational and communication skills and work effectively across teams.
- Be self-motivated, adaptable, comfortable in a changing environment, and willing to learn and develop.
- Qualify for a placement year.
Workplace and schedule
- The role requires onsite attendance three days per week; the job listing describes it as on-site with flexibility.
