Temporary part-time Pharmacy Technician role in Pharmacy Services.
The position reports to the Manager, Pharmacy and supports technical aspects of drug distribution.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform technical aspects of drug distribution as a member of the Pharmacy team.
- Help ensure patient safety and the accuracy, quality, integrity, and timeliness of pharmaceutical products and their release.
Qualifications
- OCP registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician, or graduation from a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Education Program and registration with OCP within six months.
- Knowledge of inpatient dispensing processes, including traditional and unit-dose dispensing.
- Demonstrated accuracy, organization, problem solving, multitasking, communication, and teamwork.
- Pharmacy automation experience and Microsoft Word and Excel skills are preferred.
- Commitment to the organization's values and safety programs, including patient, staff, and environmental safety.
Schedule
- Eight-hour shifts on days, evenings, and weekends; schedule is subject to change.
Work location
- Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Whitby.
Wage
- Wage range is $34.040 to $39.240 per hour.

- A satisfactory performance record is required.
