Provide safe pharmaceutical care at Eradah Center by dispensing medications in inpatient and outpatient clinics and supporting optimal medication use.
Pharmacy duties
- Review prescriptions and medication plans for appropriateness and safety, and communicate conflicts or therapeutic observations to treating physicians.
- Conduct monthly audits, document and analyze results, and report them as pharmaceutical service KPIs.
- Help deliver medication policy and therapeutic protocol training for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists with the Quality Department.
- Participate in medication inventory counts and review stock in the pharmacy, stores, nursing stations, and emergency carts.
- Check storage conditions and expiry dates for patient-brought medications and coordinate possible use with treating physicians.
- Help select and procure medications and pharmaceutical supplies based on clinical needs and approved standards.
- Manage medication refills, replenish automated dispensing cabinets, and refill using unit-dose dispensing systems.
- Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor within the position's scope.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- New graduate or up to 3 years of practical pharmacy experience.
- Valid DHA license or license from another relevant UAE regulatory authority.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience refilling automated medication dispensing cabinets is preferred.
