PeopleSoft Integration Consultant

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design Integration Broker scenarios, including service operations, queues, routings, and handlers.
• Build synchronous and asynchronous REST and SOAP integrations; develop transformations with XSLT, Application Engine, and PeopleCode.
• Configure service security and develop robust error handling, retries, notifications, monitoring, and resubmission workflows.
• Develop Component Interfaces and File Layouts; migrate legacy point-to-point integrations to standardized patterns.
• Optimize high-volume integrations and connect PeopleSoft with cloud applications and middleware.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide hypercare, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align technical approaches; mentor engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of PeopleSoft development experience, focused on Integration Broker.
• Hands-on PeopleSoft REST and SOAP web services experience; solid PeopleCode and Application Engine experience.
• Working knowledge of XML, XSLT, and JSON; experience with WS-Security and OAuth2.
• Strong SQL skills and PeopleSoft data model experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills; experience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades and patches.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with OIC, MuleSoft, or Boomi middleware is a plus.
• PeopleSoft certifications, Oracle Cloud Applications integration experience, and exposure to event-driven integration patterns are preferred.

Compensation

• Annual salary range is $100,000–$150,000.
