Payroll Accountant

Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage the whole payroll process and record payroll and employee data in ZOHO HR.
• Prepare payroll-related costs for budgeting and track deductions, loans, additions, bonuses, and unpaid leave.
• Process and issue monthly payslips and distribute them to employees.
• Maintain current knowledge of payroll laws and best practices.
• Post gratuity calculation accrual entries and support VAT submissions.
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information.
• Collect, sort, and check supplier invoices; enter vouchers, accounting statements, reports, and other records.
• Prepare sales tax invoices and bills.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for management.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of ZOHO HR and TALLY Accounting software is mandatory.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required and must be UAE MOFA attested.
• At least 2–3 years of UAE payroll processing experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, WPS, and UAE labor laws is required.
• Knowledge of UAE accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards is required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are required.
• Ability to prioritize, plan for deadlines, multitask, work under pressure, and handle sensitive payroll information is required.
• Interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills are required.
• English and Hindi fluency are mandatory.

Compensation and benefits

• Full-time employment with pay of AED 3,500–4,000 per month.
