Inspection duties
- Inspect welding before, during, and after welding, including joint preparation, fit-up, weld parameters, and finished weld quality.
- Perform or oversee PAUT Level II inspections under approved procedures and applicable standards.
- Conduct and interpret RT, MT, PT, and UT examinations within certification scope.
- Review welding procedures, WQRs, PQRs, inspection reports, NDT results, and weld acceptance criteria.
- Identify defects and non-conformities, recommend corrective action, and verify rectification.
- Maintain inspection records and coordinate quality issues with welding teams, QA/QC, contractors, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with ITPs, safety procedures, project requirements, and applicable codes.
Mandatory requirements
- Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of relevant welding inspection and NDT experience.
- ASNT Level II certification in RT, MT, PT, and UT; PAUT Level II certification.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 or AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- Strong knowledge of welding inspection procedures, NDT techniques, applicable codes, and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding documents, inspection procedures, and NDT reports.
- Good reporting, documentation, communication, and site coordination skills.
