Inspection duties
- Conduct mechanical and welding inspections during fabrication, installation, and construction.
- Visually inspect welds against approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes; inspect materials, consumables, joint preparation, fit-up, and completed welds.
- Review WPS, PQR, and welder qualification certificates.
- Coordinate and monitor RT, MT, PT, and UT; review NDT reports and results against acceptance criteria.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain reports, quality records, checklists, and documentation; coordinate issues with QA/QC, welding teams, contractors, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, approved procedures, safety standards, and industry codes.
Mandatory requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience, particularly in welding and mechanical inspection.
- ASNT Level II certification in RT, MT, PT, and UT.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 or AWS Welding Inspector certification.
- Strong knowledge of welding inspection procedures, welding defects, NDT methods, and quality documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, technical specifications, and inspection procedures.
- Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Valid UAE/GCC driving license.
