Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and specialty baked goods.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and workstations.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer requirements and company standards.
  • Manage production schedules to ensure timely preparation and delivery of baked goods.
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff when required.
  • Minimize waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients and resources.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Culinary or pastry certification is a plus.
