Job purpose

Core accountabilities

• Assist internal and external customers with parts needs and make customers aware of the product line and accessories.
• Follow cash and payment handling procedures.
• Check parts against delivery notes, bin them, and obtain delivery-note signatures.
• Pack and load parts and maintain dispatch documentation; report stock damage or losses to the Parts Manager.
• Clean returned old units and return old units and chargeable cases to suppliers as prescribed.
• Maintain displays, assist with stock checks, and keep the work area clean.
• Maintain supplier relationships, attend training, and stay current on new and improved products.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of retail auto parts department experience.
• Proficiency in CDK and/or Reynolds and Reynolds software systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information and adapt to a changing, high-pressure environment.
• Professional appearance, friendly disposition, strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills, and attention to detail.
• Personal attributes include motivation, results focus, teamwork, communication, confidentiality, professionalism, organization, and ability to work with minimum supervision.
