Donway Ford is seeking a Parts Consultant to respond to customer and technician parts requirements through counter and phone sales.
Core accountabilities
- Assist internal and external customers with parts needs and explain the product line and accessories.
- Follow cash-handling and payment procedures.
- Check parts against delivery notes, bin them appropriately, and ensure delivery notes are signed.
- Pack and load parts correctly and maintain dispatch documentation.
- Report stock damage or losses to the Parts Manager and assist with stock checks.
- Clean returned units and return old units and chargeable cases to suppliers as prescribed.
- Maintain displays and a clean work area; maintain supplier relationships.
- Attend training to stay current on products and perform other management-assigned tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in a retail auto-parts department.
- Proficiency in CDK or Reynolds and Reynolds software systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, adapt to change, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time-management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism and work with minimal supervision.
Pay
- Pay starts at $24.00 per hour.
