Role overview

Kitchen duties

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing; store food appropriately.
• Prepare and cook food, including cold foods, using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test food for doneness and monitor quality during preparation.
• Set up and break down the workstation and serve appropriate portions in suitable receptacles.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check that food and appliances are at correct temperatures.

Preferred qualifications and work demands

• At least one year of related work experience is listed as preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as preferred.
• No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
• The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; bending and reaching; and handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

• The position is not remote and is based at the hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• Follow safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, communicate clearly, cooperate with colleagues, and meet quality expectations.
