Role overview
The Outlet Manager is responsible for professional, profitable hotel outlet operations and hands-on team leadership.
Outlet operations and financial performance
- Meet departmental budget goals through increased sales revenue and efficient cost expenditure.
- Forecast business demands to support efficient staffing and food production.
- Oversee accounting and billing procedures for the outlets.
- Work with hotel management to develop and execute outlet marketing plans, and promote guest incentive programs.
People leadership and training
- Identify training needs with the hotel training manager, develop and deliver training, support departmental trainers, and implement daily departmental training.
- Schedule outlet managers and associates and supervise the associate time-control system.
- Conduct associate reviews and appraisals professionally and on time.
- Train managers and supervisors in coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline procedures.
- Lead by example and motivate associates to excel.
Standards and coordination
- Maintain outlet safety and sanitation standards and manage outlet property and facilities through regular preventive-maintenance inspections.
- Promote positive interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
- Work with the Banqueting department to support requested functions.
