OT Cybersecurity Design Engineer - Great Opportunity for Saudi Nationals

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor security measures and define system security requirements for ICS or SIS environments.
• Create detailed ICS security architectures and designs using standard blueprints and best practices.
• Contribute across the system lifecycle, from design and documentation through installation, configuration, and testing.
• Deploy and manage backup systems, endpoint protection, application control, SIEM, firewalls, network management, and intrusion detection.
• Update automation, switch, and firewall firmware; configure Domain Controller policies and host-based security technologies.
• Carry out installation, configuration, and testing at manufacturing facilities and customer sites, including FAT and SAT.
• Document functional designs, backup systems, firewall configurations, network diagrams, architectures, asset inventories, test procedures, and O&M manuals.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field is required; a Cybersecurity degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years as a design or site engineer with IT/OT security and proven ICS cybersecurity experience focused on OT security.
• At least 2 years of professional experience on large EPC projects and 3 years in design, engineering, and site execution.
• Knowledge of Shell DEPs, Oil & Gas engineering practices, applicable specifications, codes, and international standards.
• Familiarity with Oil and Gas cybersecurity challenges and experience on sizable brownfield Oil and Gas EPC projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Technical skills and certifications

• Relevant technologies include VxRail and other virtualization platforms, backup systems, patch management, data diodes, workstations, Domain Controller, and PDC/RADIUS.
• Experience areas include endpoint protection, SIEM, one-way ICS data diodes, network firewalls, and network security products.
• OT security certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or OSCP are highly desirable.

Work setting

• Installation, configuration, and testing take place at manufacturing facilities and customer sites.
