About This Role

Job Title: Oracle APEX Developer (QHSE / Enterprise Systems)

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications supporting Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) and QSMA business processes . The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to translate complex operational workflows—such as audits, risk management, incident tracking, and compliance—into scalable, secure, and high-performance Oracle APEX solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development & Design

  • Develop and maintain applications using Oracle APEX , PL/SQL , and Oracle Database
  • Design data models, workflows, and UI components aligned with QHSE requirements
  • Build dynamic forms, dashboards, and reports for enterprise-wide usage
  • Implement reusable components and ensure coding best practices

2. Workflow & Process Automation

  • Design and implement configurable workflow systems for:
  • Audit approvals and planning
  • Non-Conformity (NCR) lifecycle management
  • Change Management processes
  • Permit to Work (PTW)
  • Automate notifications, escalations, and approval hierarchies

3. QHSE Business Process Implementation

The developer must have working knowledge of at least one or more of the following domains :

Core Modules

  • Audit Management & Compliance Tracking
  • Non-Conformity Management (NCR lifecycle, RCA, CAPA)
  • Incident Management Systems
  • Risk & Opportunity Management (risk scoring, mitigation tracking)
  • Change Management (impact analysis, approvals, execution tracking)

Operational & HSE Modules

  • Permit to Work Systems
  • HSE Inspections & Emergency Drill Management
  • Energy Conservation & Environmental Reporting
  • Legal Register & Compliance Monitoring

Enterprise & Analytics

  • KPI, SPI, and QHSE Objectives Tracking
  • Enterprise Dashboards & Analytics
  • Customer Perception & Survey Management
  • Document Management Systems (version control, approvals)

4. Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports for:
  • Audits, NCRs, incidents, and risks
  • Compliance tracking and KPIs
  • Enable self-service reporting capabilities for business users
  • Integrate APEX with BI tools if required

5. Data Management & Integration

  • Design and manage complex data models for enterprise applications
  • Implement data integration (manual & automated) with external systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and audit trails

6. Document & Content Management

  • Develop centralized document repositories with:
  • Version control
  • Approval workflows
  • Access control mechanisms

7. System Performance & Security

  • Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance
  • Implement role-based access control and security policies
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise IT and regulatory standards

8. Testing & Support

  • Perform unit testing, system testing, and UAT support
  • Provide L2/L3 support for deployed applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in Oracle APEX (latest versions preferred)
  • Proficiency in:
  • PL/SQL
  • SQL performance tuning
  • Oracle Database architecture
  • Experience with:
  • REST APIs / Web Services integration
  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS (for APEX UI customization)
  • Knowledge of workflow engines and approval systems

Domain Knowledge (Mandatory – Any One or More)

  • QHSE / EHS systems
  • ISO Standards:
  • ISO 9001 (Quality)
  • ISO 14001 (Environment)
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
  • Audit & Compliance systems
  • Risk Management frameworks
  • Aviation / regulatory exposure (e.g., GCAA CAR Part 10) – preferred

Experience

  • 4–10 years of experience in Oracle development
  • Minimum 2+ years in Oracle APEX development
  • Experience in enterprise workflow-based applications

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand complex business processes
  • Effective stakeholder communication
  • Documentation and process mapping skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle APEX Certification
  • Experience in QHSE or enterprise compliance platforms
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies
