Major Responsibilities & Duties
- Check and report the safe working condition of the Bobcat or equipment prior to operating.
- Clean air filter, radiator, and engine with compressed air at the start of every shift.
- Check hydraulic oil, engine oil, and diesel levels and ask for top-up if required.
- Perform daily routine checks of the equipment and fill up the checklist accordingly.
- Report equipment problems to the Shift Inspector or Foreman.
- Push leftover scattered scrap, spillages, and trash to the assigned disposal area per instructions.
- Shift accumulated sand or dust after magnetic separation or screening.
- Clear spilled and scattered scrap from the Scrap Yard Gantry area and open yard pathways.
- Coordinate with the automobile workshop to get repair jobs and periodic maintenance done regularly and swiftly.
- Operate equipment safely per OEM guidelines and SOP to avoid damage and breakdowns.
- Always use prescribed PPE while at work.
Other Responsibilities
Understand and follow the organizational HSE policies.
Follow safety instructions related to the job.
Report damaged PPE, unsafe machines, or equipment to concerned staff.
Keep provided PPE in good, workable condition.
Avoid horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
Report accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible person.
Attend safety trainings planned for the role.
Exercise the right to say no to any unsafe work.
Requirements
