Operations Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage stock control, movement tracking, and replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, supplier coordination, delivery scheduling, and customer deliveries.
• Lead warehouse receiving, storage, sorting, packing, dispatch, quality checks, returns, and layout optimization.
• Supervise daily logistics, warehouse, and delivery workflows.
• Improve workflows, systems, and procedures to increase productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
• Review, update, implement, and enforce SOPs across operations, logistics, and warehouse teams.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for management.
• Oversee e-commerce order fulfillment, dispatch accuracy, and coordination with customer service.
• Ensure accurate use of inventory, shipment tracking, ERP, and reporting systems.
• Manage returns, exchanges, and operational escalations with customer service.
• Manage facilities and equipment maintenance and address operational, safety, and facility issues.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or warehouse management.
• Strong knowledge of inventory systems and logistics processes.
• FMCG, perishables, or floral industry experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and inventory or ERP systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• UAE driving license required.
• Sinhala and Arabic languages required.
