Operations Manager at Nord Anglia International School Al Khor, Qatar.
The role has overall responsibility for campus operations and strategic leadership across safety, facilities, contracts, compliance, campus planning, and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead health and safety, facilities management, and campus planning across the school.
- Manage capital projects, including capex budgets, governance structures, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee renovations, modifications, and large-scale procurement, liaising with landlords, contractors, and design teams.
- Manage third-party contracts and daily operations, including security, cleaning, maintenance, school buses, and onsite catering.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar regulatory agencies, NAE standards, and legal requirements.
- Lead budgeting, procurement, and event logistics across non-academic school functions.
- Line manage the Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team, bus support assistants, and medical team.
- Partner with the Extended Leadership Team on space planning, room moves, and building maintenance.
- Advise the Principal on resource needs and pursue cost savings through vendor and supplier negotiation.
Candidate requirements
- University degree.
- Previous experience in this or a similar operations management role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, personal integrity, organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail; ability to work under pressure, remain calm, adapt, and help others meet deadlines.
- Qatar or regional Middle East experience is desirable.
