Operations Engineer

Role overview

Project execution and site management

• Manage multiple epoxy terrazzo projects from mobilisation to completion and handover.
• Supervise site labour, productivity, workmanship and project schedules; coordinate with contractors, consultants and subcontractors.
• Maintain installation quality across preparation, mixing, application, grinding, polishing and finishing.
• Monitor progress, address delays and ensure site safety, material handling and quality requirements.

Production, procurement and logistics

• Plan materials and coordinate procurement of resins, aggregates, pigments, dividers and other project supplies.
• Liaise with suppliers on price, availability, delivery schedules and technical specifications; control consumption, wastage and stock.
• Coordinate labour transport, drivers, equipment, deliveries and resource allocation across project sites.

Cost control and business development

• Prepare execution budgets, monitor expenditure and variances, and complete projects within approved budgets.
• Support quotations, technical specifications and cost estimates; document additional works and variations for approval.
• Build relationships with prospective customers and attend client meetings, site visits and technical presentations.
• Follow up proposals and work with sales to convert enquiries into profitable orders and repeat business.

Management and reporting

• Provide management updates on progress, costs, manpower, procurement and outstanding issues; maintain project records and schedules.
• Identify operational and commercial risks, resolve problems and help develop procedures and systems as the company grows.
• Performance is assessed on timely, quality project delivery, budgets and profitability, resource management, low rework and wastage, customer satisfaction, business opportunities and reporting.

Essential requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in epoxy terrazzo, resin flooring, industrial flooring or specialist flooring contracting.
• Practical flooring installation, material, site-execution and quality-control knowledge; ability to manage teams, subcontractors and multiple projects independently.
• Experience in procurement, material planning, budgeting and cost control; understanding of UAE construction practices and contractor coordination.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills; confidence working with customers, suppliers and contractors.
• Valid UAE driving licence; proficient in English; civil engineering degree required.

Preferred experience

• Existing UAE industry relationships and previous business development, sales, quotation or tendering experience are preferred.
• Experience with terrazzo mixing, aggregate selection, colour matching, grinding and polishing; production and site installation; interpreting drawings, specifications and bills of quantities; and project profitability is preferred.

Pay

• AED 5,000–8,000 per month.
