Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of electrical equipment at an offshore installation safely and efficiently.
Support productivity through effective use of available resources and cross-training with colleagues.
Electrical maintenance
- Maintain electrical equipment in petroleum production facilities to ensure reliable operation.
- Service power cables, control circuits, power transformers, relays, and other electrical installations.
- Follow work procedures and safety precautions, including lockout and tagout.
- Assist the Electrical Lead with reports and documents for onshore engineers and vendors.
Operations and emergency duties
- Serve in an assigned emergency role, such as Fire Team Member, Investigation Member, Capsule Commander, or Coxswain.
- Use warehouse stock inventories and prepare materials requisitions to support timely procurement.
- Work with colleagues across departments to support effective cross-training.
Qualifications and experience
- At least two years of post-secondary studies in technical electrical subjects for industrial applications.
- At least five years of relevant hands-on experience in the petrochemical industry.
- Complete the authorization assessment process for offshore electrical personnel competency.
Safety and competency
- Actively participate in company safety procedures, including near-miss, what-if, and stop-card processes.
- Develop competency progressively from CEP to AEP and SAEP.
- Work offshore at an installation.
