Capital tracking and governance

  • Own global tracking, governance, and financial visibility of NPI capital equipment, tooling, and capital requests from requirement through approval, purchase, delivery, installation, qualification, and production readiness.
  • Maintain a single global tracker for program, site, equipment, supplier, quantity, budget, request and approval status, purchase orders, delivery dates, and readiness.
  • Link requests to program demand, manufacturing capacity, technical requirements, and production dates to support investment prioritization.
  • Coordinate across Global NPI, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Finance, Purchasing, Program Management, and manufacturing sites.
  • Give leadership visibility into budget exposure, unapproved requirements, late equipment, supplier risk, and risks to NPI or production ramp.

Delivery, budget, assets, and reporting

  • Coordinate capital-request preparation, business justification, approval routing, change control, and status follow-up.
  • Compare equipment demand with existing inventory, committed purchases, capacity, and redeployment options before recommending incremental investment.
  • Track supplier design, build, factory acceptance testing, shipment, customs, installation, debugging, qualification, and ramp milestones; identify schedule deviations.
  • Maintain budgets, commitments, actual spend, forecasts to complete, and variance visibility; reconcile program plans, purchase orders, invoices, and capital forecasts.
  • Maintain equipment location, status, program assignment, ownership, utilization, readiness, and redeployment information.
  • Track risks and actions involving approvals, long-lead purchases, supplier constraints, installation conflicts, technical changes, and qualification delays; escalate quantified impacts and recovery options.
  • Develop dashboards for capital by program and site, approval aging, equipment readiness, supplier delivery, budget versus actual, and capital at risk.
  • Standardize templates, definitions, readiness milestones, supplier reporting, and data requirements across sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing CapEx, equipment procurement, program finance, asset tracking, supply chain, or operations analytics.
  • Ability to accurately manage large datasets, financial and status trackers, purchase-order information, supplier schedules, and cross-functional action lists.
  • Working knowledge of the capital-equipment lifecycle from requirement and approval through purchase order, supplier build, shipment, installation, qualification, and readiness.
