The company designs and manufactures connectors, cable assemblies, antennas, sensors, and specialty cables for applications including data centers, networking, industrial equipment, and automotive systems.

Position Overview

Amphenol is seeking detail-oriented, technically skilled Data Analysts to join its engineering team.

The role supports engineering teams by transforming raw operational data into reliable reporting and analysis that drives decision-making.

The role works alongside data scientists and software engineers to improve reporting and data consistency, with ownership tailored to experience level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple engineering systems, reconciling inconsistencies across sources.
  • Partner with engineering stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into dashboards and reports.
  • Build and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to automate recurring data pulls and reduce manual reporting.
  • Conduct root-cause and trend analysis to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain documentation for data sources, definitions, and reporting logic.
  • Perform data quality checks and resolve discrepancies before they reach stakeholders.
  • Senior candidates may lead requirements gathering for complex initiatives and mentor junior analysts.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytics role; required experience scales with the role level.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field is required.
  • A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Candidates should be comfortable cleaning, reconciling, and validating messy real-world data.
  • Strong communication skills are needed to gather requirements and explain findings to mixed audiences.
  • Mentoring or reviewing others’ work is a plus for more senior candidates.

Technical Expertise

  • SQL skills beyond pulling pre-built reports.
  • Proficiency in Python, including pandas or a similar library, for data cleaning, transformation, and automation.
  • Experience with a BI or visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

Compensation

  • Wage is listed as dependent on experience, without a stated compensation cadence.
